Manor House Hotel
To re-design and build the existing “Lordmeer’ suite to provide the ‘ultimate luxury suite’ which while reflecting the Jacobean architectural heritage of the hotel, contained all the modern facilities of 21st century living.
In keeping with the character of the hotel, Gloss presented a scheme that would incorporate key elements of the ‘traditional’ combined with new contemporary elements that would appeal to a broader modern clientele.
The bedroom design focused on the centre piece, the bed which was raised onto a platform and surrounded by a bespoke hand painted organza sheer drapes that were electronically controlled. In addition to making the bed the focal point of the room- positioning it in the middle of the room resolved the main design issue- there were no walls to put the bed against , as they all either contained windows or a fireplace.
